Address: Various restaurants throughout Rome, Italy.

Italian cuisine is one of the most well-known and well-loved cuisines in many parts of the world, be it pasta, pizza, ice-cream, etc. The Romans are also very fond of their food, like every part of Italy. What is quite apparent when you visit several different regions of Italy is that you will realise that apart from the more common foods, as previously mentioned, there is a large variation in local dishes from region to region. Saltimbocca Alla Romana is one such dish that you will see on the menu in Rome's restaurants, trattorias and osterias. The literal translation of the dish's name is 'jumps in the mouth, Roman style' and it is a simple, yet tasteful dish that contains veal, prosciutto and sage, which is either rolled up or left flat and the lightly cooked in butter and some dry white wine.
