The Paleontological Association (APPI), founded in 2009, is an Italian association that is keen on popularising the sciences that study our prehistoric world, through exhibitions, conferences and publications. Their main aim is to become a benchmark for all paleontology enthusiasts in Italy and abroad. One such exhibition is 'Dinosaurs In The Flesh' (Italian: Dinosauri in carne ed ossa) which is being held at the Sapienza University of Rome until the 31st May 2015. Presented within the context of their era and environment, there are over 40 full-scale reproductions of dinosaurs and other extinct animals, accompanied by information panels and multimedia stations. Guided tours led by paleontologist are available and there are also workshops and conferences which are also well worth attending.
