Date(s): 20/09/14 - 22/02/15. Venue: Chiostro del Bramante, Via Arco della Pace 5, Rome, Italy.

Maurits Cornelis Escher, more commonly know as M.C. Escher, was a famous graphic artist from the Netherlands who is best known for his woodcuts, lithographs, and mezzotints, which were usually mathematically and geometrically inspired and impossible to construct. Escher passed away in 1972 having lived in several European countries, including Italy where he was inspired by the country's scenic landscape, especially around Siena. The 'Escher Exhibition' in Rome brings together 150 pieces of his best work which portrays this excellent draughtsman's perception of mathematical and geometric implications in art, as well as his research into Gestalt. The exhibition is held at the Chiostro del Bramante until the end of February 2015 and tickets cost 13.00 Euros including an audio guide.
