To coincide with the two thousandth anniversary of the death of Emperor Augustus (19th of August, 14 AD), as well as the 2767th birthday of Rome, a spectacular light display, Forum Of Augustus 2000 Years Later, will be turned on at the Forum of Augustus with special effects and music. The Forum of Augustus is located in the Roman Forum complex, in the heart of Ancient Rome. Its history and story, narrated by Piero Angela, can be heard through audio guides in five different languages other than Italian (English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Japanese). There will be three shows per evening, lasting for 40 minutes and with a maximum of only 200 spectators, so ensure you get your tickets well in advance to avoid any disappointment!
