Henri Cartier-Bresson is considered worldwide to be the father of photojournalism. The French photographer, born in Chanteloup-en-Brie in 1908, adopted the 35mm camera and became the master of candid photography. Ten years after his death the Ara Pacis Museum pays tribute to this influential photographer in an exhibition that brings together 500 of his works, including photographs, drawings, paintings, films and documents. The retrospective 'Henri Cartier-Bresson Exhibition in Rome aims to show visitors the many talents he had; his photography that was close to the Surrealist movement around the Thirties, the militant documentary maker of the Spanish Civil War and the Second World War, the intrepid reporter of the Fifties and Sixties, and finally, from the Seventies onwards, the Intimism movement that he followed. Tickets are available at 11 Euros per person.
