Date(s): 17 December 2013 - 2 March 2014. Venue: Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Via Nazionale 194, 00184 Rome, Italy.

The Seventies Art In Rome Exhibition (Anni '70 - Arte a Roma) is located at the 'Palazzo delle Esposizioni' and has on display a large range of beliefs, imagery and thoughts of an era which made that decade famous for artistic experimentation. All of the main artistic trends of the time are represented, such as 'Arte Povera' and 'Transavanguardia', as well as lesser known avenues, like 'Anarchitecture' and 'Narrative Art'. In total there are two hundred works by some of the most famous artists of the decade, including Cy Twombly, Sol Lewitt, Alberto Burri and Jannis Kounellis.

Quote from the official web page: "The 1970s are seen by historians with increasing clarity to have marked a watershed: many of the changes that either began or came up to speed in that era are very much in the forefront of the news today, making it more interesting than ever to explore and to question them."

Opening times: daily 10:00am to 8:00pm, except for Saturdays, open until 8:30pm and closed Mondays.
